Links for a new semester

Hi JOUR 4470 students. Here are some links for you to explore before next week's classes:

http://mashable.com/ (great site for keeping up with why social media is important, and how it's being used by organizations. Be sure to check out a post from Jan. 21 about the inauguration and the ways that social networking operated on that day.)

Here's an article from Bloomberg news about the SEC and its role in regulation of disclosures (re: investor relations, a part of public relations) by Apple about Steve Jobs and his current health problems:

Companies are obliged to release news about company executives and board members in an open way.
